We are the only private school located in Roanoke that is tuition free for families who qualify for the Virginia Childcare Subsidy! We make a private school education available to everyone. Every student enrolled in The Academy receives a free private education, childcare before and after school, and frequent field trips. We offer students a strong academic curriculum with a life skills emphasis that follows the Virginia Standards of Learning but focuses on hands on learning that is engaging and fun!
What if your family does not qualify for the Virginia Childcare Subsidy? We offer a low subsidized tuition rate that is far lower than the average private school in our area to qualifying families.
To support our parents, The Academy provides Family Coaching that connects parents to valuable local resources including personal finance classes and vocational training opportunities to support each family as they work to achieve their personal goals. We also offer parents onsite childcare and a summer program that provides a safe environment that encourages learning and keeps students engaged when school is not in session with frequent field trips, fun activities like swimming and skating and engaging opportunities like visiting a farm to pet animals and learn about agriculture or meeting the Virginia Tech Entomology Department to learn about bugs!
We believe that in order for children to be successful, their parents must be invested in their lives and engaged in their education so we have created a safe and nurturing environment for students and families to work and grow!
